Jeep RentalsMaui Jeep Rental Review - by HawaiiJeeps.com
Our experience started at the airport in (LIH) Lihue. After picking up our luggage we exited the terminal and crossed the street to where the Rental Car walk-up window is located. Our Jeep Wrangler was conveniently located in the small parking lot behind the car rental building. Some of the car rental agencies are a short shuttle ride away.

Self Guided Jeep TourIt was a beautiful day, so we decided to leave the top down and enjoy the sunshine this early winter day. The drive to Kiahuna Plantation was a breeze (no pun intended). The next morning we packed a few snacks and a small lunch before heading out for a small drive. The manager at Kiahuna Plantation recommended a cruise up to the top Wiamea Canyon. Our first stop along the way was the Kauai Cookie Company. After a sufficient snack we continued our trip westward.

We drove along the coast for about a half hour before arriving at our turn-off to the Waimea Canyon. The drive ascended immediately and continued climbing up the ridge. We found a pull-out after a few miles so we could take a short break. After some quick exploring, we were on our way. Within a half-hour we found ourselves standing on top of what appears to be a relative of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. We spent a few hours up there before winding our way back down. Thank you Island Rental Cars.
